„metalic figures“ is a series of photos taken at various places in upper Austria. The images of objects and structures that were photographed reminded the artist of human movements and behaviors. When you go out into the world, you can find a great motive in every single piece – and this is what Friederike Weber does and likes about the possibilities of photography.
Most of the images were taken in the industrial area of Linz. It is a place where big construction sides are right next to street art and graffiti work by famous street artists. While walking through that area you can observe many things happening at the same time. Some pictures capture those moments and seeing them, being put out of their outdoor context, they become special and interesting to look at.
